Need at least one additional OIS/Community activity before the end of the semester?
Then consider attending the free screening of a documentary film made by NCSU linguists, “Talking Black in America.” The film discusses the history and role of the African American dialect, and it’s a great opportunity to learn more about language and culture in the U.S. (and to practice listening skills!).
The movie will be screened on Thursday, November 9, from 7:30pm – 8:30pm, in Caldwell Hall. There will also be Q&A time after the movie.
