To help understand one of the most popular U.S. holidays in a bit more depth, please listen to this short 15-minute podcast, “How Thanksgiving Works.” It has been edited, so you may notice slightly abrupt transitions at times.
Please also complete the listening guide you received in class, which you can print here. When you come to class, be prepared to discuss the podcast, as well as discuss holidays in your home country.
For our class meeting on Monday, we will have our “International Potluck.” Please bring a dish to share that represents your home country or memories from home. You do not need to spend a lot of time or money, and you can bring a dish with someone else.
