Having reached the end of the semester, please spend a few moments reflecting on your work and progress this semester.
1. Re-listen to your “Oral Diagnostic” assignment from the first week of class (it should be at the beginning of your Kaizena).
2. Write a comment in Kaizena that says “Semester Reflection,” and reply to the comment with ONE recording (3 minutes) in which you discuss some (not all) of the following questions:
- How do you feel have your listening and speaking skills in English improved this semester? What were some specific moments this semester (in this class, or in another setting) where you felt proud of your language skills?
- What goals do you have for your language learning in the future (in English, or another language)?
- What have you learned about language, English, US culture, US higher education, etc. this semester?
- Anything else you would like to share?
OPTIONAL: If you would like feedback on your final TED talk, email or talk to me about setting up a time to meet in my office during finals week, and we can practice your presentation together.
